The Rockingham County Fire Marshall is investigating a Wednesday house fire near Broadway.

Residents in the 10000 block of Turleytown Road were unable to drive up to their homes because a police car blocked the street while firefighters battled the fire.

Many had to park and walk up to their homes.

Investigators haven't said who was inside the house at the time, but they say no one was hurt.

The assistant fire marshal says it was an accidental fire that started in the attic.
