An Albemarle County woman faces child neglect charges after a social worker found her two young children wandering alone in a trailer park, covered in filth.
The county social worker went to the park to check on Samantha Morris' five-year-old son, who had been missing school recently.
The worker found the boy walking shoeless with his naked two-year-old brother. Both boys were dirty, and had been unsupervised for at least a half hour.
A police officer asked the boys to take them to their home, and eventually their mother was found.
Morris initially lied about her identity, but later gave her real name.
The 25-year-old was charged with two counts of felony child neglect, each of which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
The children remain in her custody.
