The Harrisonburg Salvation Army hopes the giving spirit of Christmas can be found in July.
Starting Monday, Salvation Army Bell ringers will be collecting money at area stores.
Capt. Duane Burleigh says they are running low on food and money donations that were collected over the Christmas season. He says the need has been great because of the recession.
Next Monday, bell ringers can be found K-Mart, Red Front, Big Lots and Krogers in Harrisonburg. They will also be at the Food Lion stores in Elkton and Broadway.
