A plane crash closed the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport for most of the day.
It happened about 10 a.m. Saturday morning. A private plane landed smoothly, then the landing gear failed and the plane skidded along the runway.
No one was injured, but more than a dozen flights were diverted to Bridgewater and Charlottesville and one commercial flight was cancelled.
An airport spokesperson says something like this has not happened in about 20 years.
