Virginia social-services officials are investigating a Richmond daycare center after a 13-month-old boy died in one of its vans.

Owner Valerot Whitlow says the Yellow Brick Road Day Care & Learning Center was closed Wednesday as state Department of Social Services officials interviewed employees inside the business.

Andrew Johnson's body was discovered in a daycare center van Monday afternoon. Authorities say he died of environmental heat exposure after being left in the van for at least four hours.

Keishawn Whitfield, Whitlow's 23-year-old son and the daycare employee who was driving the van, has been charged with felony child neglect.
