It may not look it from the inside, but Rosetta Stone has opened its new building downtown. This comes after the city sold the old police department building to Rosetta Stone in January.

Managers at the software company say they've already hired 60 people this year, bringing the company's total employment up to about 450 people in Harrisonburg alone.

"Downtown has definitely shown a lot of revitalization. I don't know that it's all due to our employees, but I think that our employees definitely provide a lot of the money and things that are coming through downtown," says Melissa Yates May, director of human resources for Rosetta Stone.

Employees will move into the new site beginning Wednesday. Managers estimate they'll hire an additional 150 employees at the Harrisonburg office over the next three to four years.
