Shopping may be a little easier on your wallet this weekend. West Virginia is dropping its six percent sales tax on clothing, shoes, and school items.
The idea is to help families pay for back-to-school supplies. And you don't have to live in West Virginia to take advantage of the savings.
Gov. Wise hopes the event will pull in shoppers from nearby states, too. The sales tax holiday begins Friday morning, Aug. 2, and lasts through Sunday, Aug. 4 at 12 a.m.
