A pair of armored bank trucks crashed head on early Thursday afternoon on Business 340 just south of Stanley.

Stanley Fire Chief Terry Pettit says a deer ran across the road and caused the crash that occurred around 1:15 p.m.

After the trucks crashed, the Brinks truck slid into the lot at Stanley Auto Max and damaged seven vehicles. Another car on 340 was also damaged.

Pettit says the Brinks truck was heading south while the Dunbar truck was heading north at the time of the crash.

Firefighters at the scene contained a diesel fuel leak from Brinks truck and the road was closed for about four hours.

Both trucks are considered total losses, but the money inside them was secured by employees.

All of the trucks' occupants were treated for minor injuries.

I work with the guys from brinks. and i'm amazed that Dunbar didn't kill them. It is a coincidence that both trucks had been there, had it been a car it would have killed the people in the car.
