The Augusta County Sheriff's Office was at the scene of a stabbing in Fishersville early Thursday morning.
Deputies say three people were stabbed inside an apartment in the Briarwood Apartment Complex in Augusta County, right off of Route 250.
The sheriff's office confirms a domestic argument occurred inside the apartment.
According to 19-year-old Corey Swats, he and two other men, James and Justin Samuel, went into the apartment. Swats says "let themselves in," and allegedly got into a physical fight with 22-year-old Joseph Luple. They heard yelling and were stabbed.
Swats didn't want to appear on camera, but says the three men were drinking prior to the stabbing. He says he was stabbed in the chest and arm.
The Augusta County Sheriff's Office says it appears the men were stabbed with a "lock back knife," similar to a hunting knife. Blood was still on the blade when it was collected.
A shirt worn by one of the victims was also collected as evidence.
All three men were taken to Augusta Health, where they were treated for their injuries. Swats was released before 4 a.m. Thursday.
No charges have been filed as of yet, but the sheriff's office says charges and an investigation are pending.
The Augusta County Sheriff's Office says the men who were stabbed "are in our system," meaning they've had past run-ins with the law, although no specific incident was cited.
