The National Weather Service has issued a *** Winter Storm Warning for snow....in effect from 9AM Tuesday to 7PM Wednesday for the entire viewing area. Accumulations of 6 to 12 inches of snow are expected.

VA Gas Station Settles Price Gouging Complaint
RICHMOND, Va. (AP)
A Campbell County gas station has agreed to make restitution to customers to settle allegations that it violated Virginia's anti-gouging law during Hurricane Ike.

A Campbell County gas station has agreed to make restitution to customers to settle allegations that it violated Virginia's anti-gouging law during Hurricane Ike.

Virginia Attorney General Bill Mims announced the settlement with Chamberlayne Enterprises Inc., doing business as Timberlake Citgo, Tuesday. The settlement was filed in Campbell County Circuit Court.

Mims alleged in a complaint filed with the settlement that Timberlake Citgo's price for a regular gallon of gas on the evening of September 12, 2008, and the following morning was 55-percent higher than on September 8.

Timberlake also agreed to contribute $500 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in lieu of civil penalties.
