More than 3,000 union workers walked off the job at 12 p.m. Friday to after breakdowns in contract talks.
Some of the workers are from the Fishersville station. They say they want better retirement and medical benefits.
Dominion Power says service will not be interrupted because they have hired scab replacements to fill the void left by the striking workers.
