A proposed high transmission powerline is meeting some resistance in the northern Valley.

The Potomac Appalachian Transmission Highline, or PATH, would run through West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland.

On Sunday, residents filled the auditorium at Handley High School in Winchester to voice their opinions. The PATH Awareness Team hopes to calm some of the worries.

Winchester resident Jerome Lane says, "Two of our neighbors will be so severely impacted that their properties will lose all monetary value. The PATH easement will cut directly across the middle of one lot making it impossible for anyone to ever build on it."

Clint Miller, on the PATH Education and Awareness Team, says, "This area gets the benefit from it also, but also if they did not get the direct benefit, they still get a benefit because this line is a part of the structures being put in place to build up and strengthen the national grid altogether in order to keep from having blackouts or brownouts in the future."

According to the PATH project, the transmission line is an additional leg of the Eastern Inter-Connection.

Bad reporting! The PATH Education Awareness Team are being paid handsomely to shill for this unnecessary project. Why didn't the reporter ask this question?

A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
