The murder trial of a former James Madison University student accused of conspiring with friends to kill her father has been moved to October.
Circuit Judge Thomas Horne Monday set Oct. 7 as the new trial date for 19-year-old Clara Schwartz. Her first-degree murder trial was to have begun Monday, but was postponed because a witness is ill.
Prosecutors say Schwartz convinced a friend to kill her 57-year-old father, a prominent scientist.
Robert Schwartz was found stabbed to death in his Loudoun County farmhouse in December.
