Snow removal crews have been out all weekend, cleaning up from the snow and ice that blanketed the valley. Ken Knight with Harrisonburg Public Works says crews won't be getting any breaks for their extra work over the weekend.
Once the roads are clear, Knight says crews will deal with continuous maintenance of equipment and making sure the gutter lines are open. Knight says cleaning up the snow is expensive, but it could have been worse.
For now, the snow removal budget is still in good shape, for whatever Mother Nature brings us next.
