The Rocky Top fire in the Shenandoah National Park is 100 percent contained.
Park officials say 1,500 acres were burned, that's 400 less than had been estimated. Only 80 acres burned were private property. The rest was within the park.
Officials say the cause may never be known, but lightning was most likely the culprit.
Firefighters will continue mop-up operations into the early part of next week.
All trails are reopened except for the Rocky Top trail.
