Prince William County police have charged four teenagers with vandalizing an elementary school with racially charged words and symbols.
First Sgt. Kim Chinn says police received a call at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday that some sod had been pulled from a pallet and used to write "White Power," "KKK" and form a swastika at Sinclair Elementary School. She says the incident may have occurred overnight.
Chinn says the four Manassas youths, ages 14 to 17, who have been charged are African American and white and attend Stonewall Jackson High School. She called the incident an effort to garner attention.
No students were at Sinclair Elementary School at the time.
