A Loudoun County judge has denied a request from Clara Schwartz's lawyers to suppress evidence in her case.

Police seized evidence from her dorm room at James Madison University, including journal entries expressing intense hatred for her father.

The 19-year-old is one of four people facing charges in the murder of biophysicist Robert Schwartz last December. Schwartz was killed with a sword in his Loudoun County home.
Police say defendant Michael Pfohl confessed to the killing, and told investigators he did it to protect Clara Schwartz from her father.

Schwartz' classmate Kyle Hulbert also faces murder charges. Prosecutors have said that 19-year-old Katherine Inglis has agreed to testify against her friends.
