As investigators sort through evidence in the slayings of three Spotsylvania girls, they say Richard Marc Evonitz remains a suspect.
Investigators won't say what evidence they've tested, but they say the former Spotsylvania County resident has NOT been ruled out as a suspect.
The investigation is attempting to draw any links between Evonitz and the 1996 slaying of Sofia Silva and the 1997 killings of sisters Kristin and Kati Lisk.
Evonitz fatally shot himself on June 27 when cornered by Florida police after a chase. He was being sought in the June 24 abduction and rape of a 15-year-old South Carolina girl.
One investigator described the work as recreating the life of Evonitz.
Investigators working on the case are scheduled to compare notes next week.
