Memorial Stadium Crumbling

Hugh Lantz says he noticed the concrete structure had started to crumble while attending a Turks game.

He feels it's an accident waiting to happen. After the high school moves, Lantz feels we need to keep the field in tact for the Turks and he says the price tag shouldn't be too big.

"Well, I don't think we're talking a whole lot of money. The structure is there. The structure can be improved upon. So again I don't think we're talking a lot of money in fixing it up," said Lantz.

Lantz says fellow Council Member Larry Rogers hopes to make this a Blue Ribbon Community Project to get grants and local organizations involved.

The first meeting of those interested in the project will be Aug. 15.
