Virginia State Police say a dump truck driver has been charged with reckless driving in connection with Thursday's school bus crash that sent 14 children to the hospital.

VSP Sgt. Les Tyler says 36-year-old John Dereck Guidaboni from Nashua, New Hampshire told investigators he was unaware the school bus ran off the road.

Guidaboni, who works for Liberty Paving, also told investigators he assumed tree limbs were striking his vehicle and the bus.

The crash occurred Thursday afternoon on the 1900 block of Indian Trail Road in Keezletown. Of the 62 students on the bus, 16 had minor injuries. They were treated and released from Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Liberty Paving is based out of Hopewell, Virginia. They are working locally at a Valley job site.

I was behind the bus on my way to work the day of the acident. I never seen the dump truck hit the school bus. Did the driver admit to hitting the school bus? I stoped letting my daughter ride the public school bus when I seen her driver pull up to the bus stop while talking on her cell phone. Not safe!!

...and people ask me why I still don't let my kids ride the bus since 2004. I hope the prosecuter in Rockingham County doesn't "phone it in" like the one in Augusta County did for my kids!

A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
