A former TV3 Winchester reporter has been granted bond after having been denied it twice.

Ryan O'Connor faces four counts of child pornography, one count of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of using a computer related to those crimes. He was arrested August 31 and denied bond in two hearings.

O'Connor appealed the decision and a judge set a $25,000 bail Friday.

As part of the bond agreement, he must live with his mother at her Brooklyn, Connecticut home. He is also not allowed to leave the home between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

O'Connor's release also includes several other conditions. He is not allowed to use a computer or cell phone, to go on school or mall property, to possess alcohol or illegal drugs, or to visit a library without his mother.

He must also surrender his passport and sign an extradition waiver.

WHSV Poll
A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
