The students at Churchville Elementary School are getting a leg up on education after winning a computer lab sweepstakes.

The school won $45,000 worth of equipment, including 20 laptop computers with wifi and more.

Only five schools out of 700,000 entries in the nation won the sweepstakes.

A school could enter the contest multiple times, and Churchville Elementary did so every single day for five months. Principal Laura Hodges is glad the school did.

"With today's budget cuts it's very hard for school systems to provide technology and resources to this extent. So this keeps us right at the front of technology education," says Hodges.

The computer lab sweepstakes was held by CDW Government Inc. and Discovery Education.
