Jefferson County voters will decide December 5 whether to allow table games at Charles Town Races & Slots.
County commissioners unanimously approved the referendum Thursday.
Charles Town's parent, Pennsylvania-based Penn National Gaming Inc., had requested the referendum and will pay the cost of holding it.
A vote on whether to install poker tables, roulette wheels and other games alongside 5,000 slot machines at the Eastern Panhandle facility failed two years ago. But Penn National officials believe the odds are now in their favor.
