One Valley man is having a bit of trouble harvesting his tomatoes, not because he's having problems growing them, but because they've grown too well.
Hubert Goode of Stephens City has a cherry tomato plant that is now 13-feet tall.
He says he planted it in May, after the threat of frost had passed.
He built a ten-foot tall trestle to help hold the plant up, but it's now outgrown that and has starting hanging down.
"It's unusual, but I'm sure there are others out there that are that tall or taller," says Goode. "I didn't even try to accomplish this. It did it on it's own."
Goode waters the plant every day and gives it plant food every two weeks.
He has to use an eight-foot ladder to reach the tomatoes at the top.
