Reports from Massachusetts show Alexander Skowran, the murder suspect who turned the gun on himself in Stephens City Monday, had a violent past.

Earlier Monday afternoon, the Berryville Police Department says Skowran was pulled over by one of their officers and sent off with a traffic violation. They say the warrant for Skowran's arrest wasn't in the system until hours later.

Once it came into the system, Berryville worked in conjunction with police in Massachusetts and the Frederick County Sheriff's Office to capture Skowran.

Numerous reports released Wednesday from Massachusetts show Skowran had violent past. One neighbor, Melissa Reny, says she saw probation officers at Skowran's home.

"Probation officer came looking for him, and they left their card, and it fell on the ground so I taped it to his door, so he would know, you know, and he just took it and he looked at it and he just walked away," says Reny.

Police say Skowran was on probation for an incident in March during which he broke into the victim's apartment and poured bleach on her clothing.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office sent Skowran's body to the medical examiner's office in Fairfax for an autopsy.

A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
