A summer that began in turmoil will end in retirement for Former Speaker of the House Vance Wilkins.
The 24-year veteran of state politics announced his plans to retire as Delegate of the 24th District on Aug. 15.
"This has been a very tough decision, made even more difficult by the numerous calls of support,” says Wilkins.
Wilkins resigned from his position as Speaker earlier this summer.
