U.S. Poultry Demand on the Rise

Pilgrim's Pride officials expect an outbreak of Avian Flu in Asia and a low-carb diet craze to boost the popularity of its poultry.

The United States and other countries have banned poultry imports from Asia because of the Avian Flu.

That has spurred demand in Japan and Europe for U.S. poultry. Pilgrim's Pride operates plants in Hinton and Timberville.
