The Waynesboro City Council voted unanimously to give John McNair and Associates the go ahead on the new housing development.
The plan would put more than 150 new homes on the 53 acres off of Bookerdale Road. City Council approved two conditional use permits that will allow the development to be constructed off Bookerdale Road.
You may remember the first Silver Creek proposal was taken off the table because there were concerns that Bookerdale Road wasn't wide enough to accommodate an increase in traffic, but Silver Creek representatives agreed to widen the bridge on Bookerdale Road from 18 feet to 24 feet.
Speed bumps will also be added throughout the development and forty percent of the land will be left for green space.
