For the second time in just the past few months, Donna Campbell is dealing with a damaged house and a broken spirit.

Campbell says, "I feel like I have no help and if maybe that had put up a guard rail last time, this wouldn't have happened."

Police say the crash occurred when a driver suffering from a health condition ran his car off Leaksville Road and into Campbell's house.

The driver was trapped in the car for 35 minutes and then airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center.

The Stanley Fire and Rescue Squad says the intersection has become a problem.

Lt. Kevin Painter, with Stanley Fire and Rescue, says, "This makes about my third crash here at this intersection and the second crash into this home within the past six or eight months."

While Campbell has made several attempts over the past few moths to have a guardrail placed in front of her home, no action has been taken.

Painter says, "I know it is a busy intersection and it's a right nasty curve here in front of us. I don't know if the speed limit should be reduced or what."

For now, Campbell just hopes drivers will be careful.

Campbell says, "People need to slow down in life. Everybody does. And think of what they are doing and everything when they are on the roads. Don't be in a hurry all the time."

The driver's name has not been release and there is no word on his condition.

I agree there needs to be a guardrail there ,and alot more places in the county. With VDOT and there budget cuts I cant see no guardrail going up no time soon, but it is said it takes someone to get hurt to get something done sometimes.
