Tolsia High School's football team is searching for new equipment after an early morning fire destroyed its dressing room.

Wayne County assistant superintendent Jerry Workman says the county is trying to re-outfit the team in time for Friday night's game against county rival Wayne.

The fire broke out in the team's dressing room near the football field. Firefighters from the Fort Gay Volunteer Fire Department responded.

Workman says the dressing room may be a total loss.

Workman says the county has called in a sporting goods store to see if it can get new uniforms and equipment in time for Friday's game.

He says Wayne and Spring Valley high schools have offered to lend equipment to the Tolsia Rebels.
