A federal magistrate has ordered the national vice president of the Pagans Motorcycle Club held until trial on murder conspiracy, racketeering and other charges.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Stanley issued the ruling Tuesday after hearing recordings of Floyd B. "Jesse" Moore of St. Albans. Federal prosecutors say Moore orders two gang members to assault two former members on the recordings, which were made in 2004 and 2005.

Moore pleaded not guilty to murder conspiracy, racketeering, assault, witness tampering and other charges at the hearing.

Moore and more than 50 other members and associates of the outlaw motorcycle club were named in the 44-count indictment. Also being held pending trial are club president David Barbeito of Myersville, Maryland and several other members.
