Charles Town Races & Slots is campaigning hard to convince voters to let it install poker tables, roulette wheels and other games alongside 5,000 slot machines.
A vote in Jefferson County is set for December 5.
The track and its parent, Pennsylvania-based Penn National Gaming Inc., have begun airing television ads touting the creation of 500 jobs that will pay between $35,000 and $45,000.
Dealers who are hired and complete 90 days will be reimbursed for training costs.
General Manager Al Britton is holding two town hall meetings next week to answer questions. Those are set for Monday and Tuesday evening in the casino's Skyline Ballroom.
A table games referendum failed two years ago, but Penn National believes the odds are now in its favor.
