A pair of former volunteer firefighters will spend at least two years in prison for arson.
A judge sentenced Michael Bell and Ryan Sullivan Monday for setting fires in Rockingham County. After serving their prison sentences, they will be on supervised release for five years.
The men were firefighters for the New Market Volunteer Fire Company. They were arrested in April and were also charged with several counts of arson in Shenandoah County.
They've pleaded guilty to the charges in Shenandoah County but have not yet been sentenced. If they receive jail time for the Shenandoah County fires, those sentences will be served at the same time as the Rockingham County ones.
The men are expected in court in Shenandoah County again in November.
