Wounded Virginia Veterans Finding Work

Wounded Virginia veterans are finding work through a new state program.

Purple Heart recipient and former Sergeant Chad Ellinger has been hired by the Virginia Department of Transportation through the "VDOT Wounded Veteran Internship Program."

Ellinger's responsibilities include information technology, security, Telecommunications and records management.

The program is open primarily to veterans of U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The internships can last up to 2 years.
