One of 55 indicted members and associates of the Pagans Motorcycle Club is going to plead guilty.
Federal prosecutors requested a hearing Tuesday for 30-year-old Charleston resident Eric W. "Tree" Lyttle to enter a guilty plea in the case. Lyttle is accused of threatening an unnamed individual in April 2008 in Boone County.
The charge is one of 44 in the federal indictment accusing outlaw bikers from West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Florida of charges including murder conspiracy, kidnapping and drug dealing.
Lyttle's lawyer says he has no comment and a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Charleston did not immediately respond to a telephone message.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Stanley ordered Lyttle released Tuesday on a $10,000 bond.
