Sixteen more indicted members and associates of the Pagans Motorcycle Club have pleaded not guilty to federal charges.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Stanley ordered one of the men, 48-year-old New Jersey resident Rocco Boyd, held without bond Wednesday pending trial. The rest, including defendants from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, were allowed to remain free on bond.
In late September, a federal grand jury in Charleston indicted 55 national leaders, members and associates of the outlaw biker club on charges including murder conspiracy, kidnapping and drug dealing.
Boyd is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering, interstate travel in aid of racketeering and obstruction of justice.
