Think you've got the stomach for competitive eating? Here's your chance to find out.
The Association of Independent Competitive Eaters comes to Madison next year to crown someone king or queen of the mall food court.
The most determined eater will have to devour a lineup of Chinese, Japanese and Italian food. According to the group's Website, the top prize in the professional division is $750, and first place in the collegiate division is $500.
Competition will be fierce. One man who has already signed up is Sterling, Virginia native Ian "The Invader" Hickman. He said a then-world record last year when he ate 10.1 pounds of chili in five minutes.
The Madison event will be February 6. Competitors and spectators are asked to donate canned food or money for a local food pantry.
