As gas prices continue to go up across the country, some valley gas stations are taking preventative measures against drive offs. The Staunton Exxon on Route 250 used to allow customers to pump and then pay, but not anymore.
Signs like "Please pay first," have gone up in the last month. This came after owners says they saw a jump in people driving off without paying.
