No Charter Committee

The group was formed after Dorn Peterson tried to get three amendments to the city charter on last November's ballot. The amendments had to do with referendum, recall and a policy change on filling vacancies.

Peterson says he doesn't mind the committees demise, but he will keep up the fight for his three amendments.

"I was willing to hold off on those until the discussion in the charter committee had been gone through, but since we're not going to do that," said council member Peterson. "Perhaps we're back to the point where the three I proposed back on the November ballot."

According to council member Rogers, the committee no longer wanted to meet.
