Waynesboro Police say five of the departments police cars each had one tire slashed Saturday night while the cars were parked at the station. A van that is used by the city also had a slashed tire. Sgt. Kelly Walker says the police department has had vehicles damaged in the past, but he could not remember an incident in which this many were damaged at once.

Staunton Police report that someone broke into a home on Bridge Street Tuesday. The burglar stole electronics, jewelry and three brass snakes.

Guns were stolen from a couple different homes in the Valley in the past week. Over the weekend, someone stole four guns from the garage of a home on Sandy Ridge Road near Waynesboro. On Tuesday, someone stole guns and money from a home on Smithland Road in Harrisonburg.

Deputies in Shenandoah County are reporting two thefts in the same area on the same night. They say someone stole a couple of hunting tree stands Saturday in a wooded area off Supinlick Ridge Road. On the same day, residents on Alpine Way, about three miles away, reported seeing someone trying to steal a four-wheeler. Deputies are investigating to see if the cases are connected.

If you have any information about these cases, call your local police department or sheriff's office.
