A group of Page County residents is looking to build a skate park. Plans call for the project to be the size of two tennis courts. It will line the front of the Hawksbill Recreation Park, which already houses a pool, volleyball courts, and other activities.

Residents say in spite of what they already have at the park, there needs to be more for youth to do in Page County. "We do have a lot of youth in this county that do skateboard, inline and also bikers and wherever they go to try to do it they're normally run off," says Jim Balton, who is raising money for the park.

Residents are collecting money cans at Page County businesses. The finished park may cost upwards of $200,000.
