Fifty-seven-year-old James Holden was convicted yesterday. His eight-year-old granddaughter Jackie died of exposure in the woods in February 2000.

The charges stemmed from a $100 a ticket truck raffle set up last year to benefit the foundation, which teaches children how to survive if lost in the woods. Prosecutors say Holden sold nearly $18,000 in raffle tickets, then cancelled the event and spent most of the money on personal expenses.
