One Valley Fire Department is fighting fire, but with more than just water.

A new Harrisonburg fire truck that just went into service is making it a lot easier for firefighters to do their job.

Firefighters say their new truck can use a foam water mixture.

The foam actually sticks to the wood helping the water sink in and stop flames form popping back up.

The truck has all the standard upgrades new equipment usually has.

Firefighters say they get a new piece of equipment every 5 years to a decade.

Fighting fire with a foam water combination is nothing new.

But the truck integrates foam right on board, instead of being added later.
