The Republican National Committee sent college students from around the country to Virginia to campaign for Republican candidates.
Although Haley Korman from Kennesaw State University was born and raised in Georgia, she felt it was important to campaign for Republicans who are up for election in the state of Virginia.
Korman says, "It's an important election on a national level. It will definitely send an important message to democrats in power right now."
Kristen Greig, who came all the way from Georgia Tech, says the best part is actually meeting Republican supporters.
Greig says, "Going door to door and talking people face to face, you can kind of get a feel for what their needs are and what their concerns are more. I think it's good. They like seeing young people out too."
Greig and the rest of the College Republicans in the room where they were calling voters say this year needs a different kind of change.
She says, "It's not even so much about getting just Republicans elected. It's about the issues and the people behind the issues. And I really love the state of Virginia. It's a beautiful state."
Michael Lee from Auburn University believes that if Republicans win Tuesday, it will make a difference nationwide.
Lee says, "I love politics. I want to better the U.S. and just get out there and make a difference."
While they are all volunteering their time for free, the campaigners say they wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Korman says, "This is just reinforcing it. Every person we talk to is another vote hopefully. Every door we knock on, that's another vote."
The College Republicans have been campaigning since last Friday and will return to their home states Wednesday.
