Controversy could be brewing over a run at the General Assembly seat currently held by Vance Wilkins.
There are reports former Wilkins staffer, Claudia Tucker, is using money from his political action committee to pay for a poll. The poll is to see if Tucker's husband, Bill, would get the support needed to win a bid for Wilkins seat.
The executive director of the Republican Caucus says using the money is legal, but it's supposed to be used to help candidates across the state, not for personal research.
Bill told TV-3 he's not aware of her paying for the poll. He says the poll was arranged by Wilkins.
