Gov. Joe Manchin says he will make good on a promise to challenge residents at a Tucker County juvenile detention center to a game of basketball.

Manchin made the pledge while attending September's opening of the Kenneth Honey Rubenstein Juvenile Center in Davis.

The governor said Friday that he and several members of his administration will take on the residents in a game scheduled for November 20.

Manchin says the admission price is a toy that will be donated to the State Troopers for West Virginia Needy campaign. The toys will be distributed to Tucker County children.

Cash donations also will be accepted and will benefit the Parsons Community Action Center.
