The Boy Scouts of America is getting ready to unveil its plan to turn a section of West Virginia into a high-adventure camp.
The camp will be developed on a 10,600-acre tract in Fayette County between Glen Jean, Prince and Mount Hope.
Scouts officials, along with Gov. Joe Manchin, will unveil the organization's plans for the camp Wednesday morning at the Glen Jean Armed Forces Reserve Center.
The camp is to take advantage of the New River Gorge National River and the recreational opportunities in the area.
The camp was made possible, in part, by a $50 million gift from the S.D. Bechtel Jr. Foundation.
