The West Virginia Business Hall of Fame has picked its 2009 class.

Five people will be inducted Thursday at Morgantown's Waterfront Place Hotel.

Inductees include Marston Becker, chief executive of Max Capital Group Ltd., retired physician and real estate developer John Chambers and Allegheny Wood Products owner John Crites.

Also being inducted are Benjamin Hardesty, president of Dominion Exploration & Production, and developer Parry Petroplus.

William Trumbull, interim dean of the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics, says all five are role models for business students.

The college created the Hall of Fame in 2001. Inductees must be connected to West Virginia by birth, residence, education or business presence.

WHSV Poll
A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
