Fairfax County public libraries are set to lay off more than 100 employees to help close a $4 million budget gap.
Officials told workers this week that the layoffs would include full- and part-time employees. Under a proposal approved Tuesday by the library's governing board, library hours will be scaled back on Fridays.
The cuts would affect departments including library operations, administration and technical operations.
