State health officials say they've allocated more than one million doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine.
Shipments went out this week to colleges and universities. A few hundred of those vaccine doses were available at Eastern Mennonite University Thursday.
The director of EMU's Health Center says, so far, the school hasn't seen widespread illness.
"Students are headed home for Thanksgiving, going to places where there may be more widespread disease and bring it back. And that's what I'm really concerned about," says Margaret Upton.
Virginia health officials say 27 people in the Commonwealth have died after being infected with the H1N1 virus.
Three of those deaths happened in the last 48 hours and all three victims had underlying health conditions.
